Who is GOD that I should reverence HIM?

Bro.Elijah was invited for an interview scheduled for 8:00am on Monday…
He made sure he took his bath and was ready, decently dressed to impress the conductors of the interview conscious of the huge salary he would receive if he got the job.

He entered the room, and waited till he was told to sit…

This same Bro.Elijah was meant to have a meeting with the governor who wanted to give him an honorary position in the Secretariat….
On getting there, the governor told him to sit, He declined saying He was okay on standing. Then, the Governor highlighted all he had seen in Bro.Elijah that made him to Deserve the Honorary position.

On the conclusion of their meeting, Bro.Elijah thanked the Governor for the position so passionately that the governor wondered how enormous that title was.

This same Bro.Elijah woke up on the forthcoming Sunday, rolled on his bed for some extra 45 mins.
Then finally went to have his bath, before strolling into a 9:00am at 10:05am.
Meaning he had missed the nourishing Sunday School.
When it was time to worship HIS CREATOR who was beaten mercilessly for HIM, he felt this weakness to stand or kneel before his Creator. He felt sitting was a good position, since he believes

It was time to dance for HIS GOD..
Bro.Elijah remembered sister.Bukky and was shy to shake the legs that can walk or sing with a mouth that isn’t dumb…
He didn’t want to embarrass himself before the Royal King that was nailed naked on the cross.

He didn’t deserve that redemption but for GOD’S mercy, it was given to HIM.
He was meant to have an accident on HIS way to that interview, yet JESUS stood for his safety..
He was not meant to wake up on that Sunday Morning, yet GOD sent an angel to destabilize those forces…
He wasn’t aware of that, but he had heard of that guy who slept and didn’t wake up.

Am pained!

We forget our source
We shame the love shown to us
We despise the respect his presence commands

We stride into spiritual meetings late and we justify that we were having our Bible Study before it

The WORD is being given graciously, then we remember there was an Instagram post we wanted to view and comment on..

It’s time we proved our love and respect for the Divinity that came to be disgraced for us….

Lesbian Pastors Get wedded

Two black American, Pastor Twanna Gause and Pastor Vanessa Brown, who happened to be lesbians, tied the knot on August 24th at the New Vision Full Gospel Baptist Church in East Orange, New Jersey.

Gause’s father, Mr. Gause, citing “differences in theological beliefs,” refused his daughter’s invitation.

“My father would not come here because he does not believe in same-sex marriage,” Ms. Gause said. “He told me the devil tricked me into this, and that if we had been married in biblical times, we would have been stoned to death.”

Ms. Brown, 46, and Ms. Gause, 45, are both pastors of Rivers of Living Water United Church of Christ.

Why Blood of JESUS CHRIST??

“I COVER THIS BUS IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS!”

*Romans 3:25* Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

*Romans 5:9* _Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him._

*Ephesians 1:7* _In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;_

*Ephesians 2:13* _But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ._

*Colossians 1:20* _And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven._

*Hebrews 9:14* _How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?_

*Hebrews 13:20* _Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,_

In all the verses I quoted above, none suggests in the faintest manner that the blood of Jesus is meant for covering cars or buses or air planes (by the way, do folks ask everyone in an air plane to bow their heads for prayers? I don’t know. I’ve never been on one. #Winks)

No verse also suggests that you are to shout “blood of Jesus” when you see a cockroach or a rodent or when you wake up from a nightmare. None. Absolutely none! None also suggests that you are to “cover, soak, and dip yourself” in the blood of Jesus. None! So, where did that practice come from?

Many times, many people gladly do things not written in the Bible, and boast of it. Such vaunts are apparently a child of unacquaintance with the written word. The blood of Jesus was shed for the remission of sins, and not for dousing Toyota sedan cars. It’s gross misunderstanding of the reason for Jesus’ death that makes some people utter such profane words as: “I cover this bus and the engine with the blood of Jesus”. What?! That’s insult on the blood of Jesus! Some even say more ludicrously “I pour the blood of Jesus into the engine of this vehicle…” How uncanny! Such statements are laughable at best. Vehicles run on either petrol or diesel! Every Tom, Dick, and Harry knows that. It’s not rocket science. The blood of Jesus isn’t petrol. It’s not to be poured into vehicular engines. It’s that which was shed for your salvation.

Please, stop portraying yourself as some clown of some sorts… Jesus isn’t covering us in His blood. We have already been washed by His blood. We are saved men; people washed and cleansed by His precious blood. We are not to cover our houses or cars or ourselves with the blood of Jesus. Such notions and practices are totally unscriptural.

We are to be filled with joy and confidence, knowing full well that the blood of Jesus has cleansed us from all sins, and that forgiveness of sins is ours in Him. We are to be content with this knowledge, and let our minds perpetually swim within the boundaries of the same. This is the scriptural thing to do.
